Peoria Romantasy Ball 2026

What is a Romantasy Ball? A Romantasy Ball is an event where attendees dress in fantastical clothing based on their favorite characters in books, movies, art and history.

What will our evening consist of?  VIP check in starts at 5:00 pm. If you are part of a couple and one paid for VIP, then you may both check in during this time. However, all parties in your group must be VIP in order to get VIP front of the room seating and one of the first tables allowed for food service at the buffet.

Regular admission starts at 5:30 pm.  At check in - Tables are assigned. You will receive your table assignment at check in. The DJ will be playing light music in the background (Think Bridgerton music)

Dinner will be served around 6:15, 6:30. Dessert will be served around 8 pm. Again, light music will be playing in the background.

Dinner is a buffet style and provided by Barrack's Catering. Dinner will have 2 entrees available, 2 salad type options (for ex. tossed salad and coleslaw), a potato or rice, and a vegetable.

Various desserts such as gourmet cookies, brownies, cupcakes, etc. 

A cash bar is available to those who are 21 and up. Must show I.D. 2 themed drinks and 1 themed mocktail is also available for purchase.

Dance to fun, trendy music with DJ Adam from Complete Weddings + Events Central Illinois. Please note that there will not be a choreographed dance instructor at the event; dancing will consist of fun dance music and requests are taken throughout the night. At 2025's Romantasy Ball, no one danced until fun dance music was played so that is what we will do again for 2026. Thanks! :) Dancing should start around 7:30 pm.

Take fun pics in the photo booth provided by Venue Chisca. You will be able to send these pics to your social media, phone, etc.

Rune readings by Readings by Faith! Faith is a seasoned rune reader and uses a Nordic form of divination that uses symbols often carved in wood or stone. She commonly uses a 3-run spread but for this event, she will have a 1 rune pull available in order to expedite the crowd. FREE but tips are appreciated! 5 pm to between 10/11 pm.

What is the refund/cancel/transfer policy? Refund Policy: All ticket sales are final. Delays, venue access issues, emergencies, weather-related problems, or any other circumstances will not entitle you to refunds or future credits.

Event Cancellation or Rescheduling: If the event is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances not in the control of the issuer, Peoria Romantasy Ball will reschedule the event.

Ticket Transfers: Tickets are transferable to another named ticket holder up until 1 week before the event. Please email us at bookrackpeoria@comcast.net to inform us of the substitute or text us at 309/370-7683.

What type of attire should I wear? While formal, elaborate attire is recommended, you can wear anything that you feel comfortable in! We have guests planning to wear huge, flowing gowns to guests wearing all black and horns. There is a wide variety of characters in the romantasy genre - pick anyone you like!!! We are excited to see what everyone comes up with!

What kind of props and bags are allowed in the event? No real weapons of any kind are allowed at this event. However, props are welcome. No bags larger than a small purse will be allowed into the venue.

I will be traveling from out of town. Do you have recommendations on where I can stay? Yes! We are working with local hotels to get you a good rate for the night!

Can I bring a camera or take pictures with my camera phone? Absolutely! We encourage you to take lots and lots of pictures of this magical night. Share it to your socials! Tell all your friends so we can continue to host this type of event!
